Awarded to Ernest Abuba
The Red Socks Award was created to honor the memory of Lilah Kan
and was established by her sons, Jeremy and Jonathan Spear and family
friend,
actor John FitzGibbon.
Lilah Kan was a theatre professional, chef, archer, writer, mother
hen, and tireless supporter of artists who needed a hand at one
time or another.
Each year an artist is recognized for this award and is nominated
in rotation by
Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, NAATCO and
Ma-Yi Theatre.
Past awardees are: Rosanne Ma, Lloyd Suh and Nicky Paraiso. |
