towards providing students with a foundation for working with movement as part of their overall performance in theater. Other benefits will include gaining confidence for dance auditions, learning dance technique, playing with improvisation techniques, and developing physical strength and confidence.
Clothing: Workout wear or anything comfortable to move in such as sweats, yoga clothing, shorts and t-shirts or dancewear—no jeans. You should wear sneakers or dance shoes, and be prepared to perform some exercises in bare feet or with socks.
In the Acting section, students will be introduced to the world renowned Constantine Stanislavski System. Students will work on contemporary scenes and monologues from plays such as TOP GIRLS, SPRING AWAKENING, THE GLASS MENAGERIE, THE MIRACLE WORKER, DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, ANTIGONE, and also from Asian-American classics such as THE JOY LUCK CLUB.
